Stockwatch is not investment advice. The site publishes historical price data and arithmetic performed on it. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and nothing here should be treated as a basis for an investment decision.
Stockwatch is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India in any capacity — not as a Research Analyst, not as an Investment Adviser, and not as a broker. We do not offer portfolio management, and we do not provide personalised recommendations to anyone.
Every figure on this site describes what already happened. A company whose price rose tenfold over ten years may fall by half next year. Returns from the past carry no information about returns in the future, and the calculators here should be read as history, not as an expectation.
Returns shown exclude dividends, brokerage, securities transaction tax, stamp duty, GST, capital gains tax and every other cost. They assume a single purchase at one day's closing price and no further activity. A real investor's outcome over the same period would be different, and the gap is not small over long periods.
Closing prices are end-of-day values, not live quotes, and the site does not publish intraday or real-time prices.
The data is assembled from a broker API and public exchange files, and is adjusted for corporate actions using a published list. Errors are possible at every stage — a missing split, a bad price, a gap in a series. We correct what we find and what readers report, but the data is provided as is, with no warranty of accuracy or completeness. Before acting on anything, verify it against your broker or the exchange.
To the extent permitted by law, Stockwatch accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything published here.
